Kräftig Is Off to the Races This Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is kinda like National Beer Day in that you can get away with drinking really whenever you damn well please – which is already awesome, if you ask us. But this year’s Cinco de Mayo is extra special because it’s also the day of “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.”

No, we’re not talking about the incredible come-from-behind victory in the last two minutes of that big football game you played back in high school. We’re sure that was exciting and all, but come on, this is the Kentucky Derby: horses running at full speed, dirt kicking, nostrils flaring, jockeys… jockeying. The suspense is astonishing.

Bobby's 14th Annual Kentucky Derby Party at Herbie's in Clayton - $3 Kräftig Bottles and Draughts and $6 Tigaritas all dayThis year, enjoy the suspense alongside the Kräftig team at Bobby’s 14th Annual Kentucky Derby Party! Hosted at Herbie’s by Bobby Horvath, this Derby Day party celebrates both Cinco de Mayo and the spirit of the Kentucky Derby, all while supporting a worthy cause. This year’s party is in support of Alec’s Haus, which aims to raise public awareness of Tourette Syndrome, fund various Tourette Syndrome non-profit organizations, and assist Alec Horvath in his educational, medical, and therapy needs.

With a gourmet taco stand, live DJ, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, classic Kentucky Derby mint juleps, Cinco de Mayo margaritas, and, of course, some great specials on both Kräftig Lager and Kräftig Light, Bobby’s Party is the place to be this Derby Day! Grab some Kräftig bottles out on Herbie’s patio for $3, or head on into the restaurant for $3 draught specials. Oh, and while you’re watching the horses go ham on the track, be sure to sip on one of our Tigaritas (that’s a margarita with Kräftig, in case you were wondering) for only $6!

We’re basically reinventing The Run for the Roses at Bobby’s Kentucky Derby Party this year. From here on out, it’s The Run for the Beers. And who doesn’t love beer? So, don your Kentucky Derby duds and hats and come on down to Herbie’s at 2:00 p.m. on Cinco de Mayo for a day of good drinks and good times – for a great cause.
