You’re doing summer wrong if a gazebo isn’t a part of your plans. It’s as simple as that. Sure, summer means float trips and fairs and nostalgic baseball games that remind you of either playing catch with your dad or of necking with your old high school sweetheart while watching Kevin Costner play ball on the big screen. Don’t get us wrong, we love all those summery things. But nothing quite compares to an evening with a gazebo and two of America’s greatest art forms: music and movies.
Lucky for you, that’s exactly what you get at the Old Orchard Merchants Association’s 12th annual Gazebo Series in Webster Groves! Sponsored by your favorite beer company (that’s us!) the Gazebo Series promises to be six fun-filled and family-friendly nights of free live concerts and outdoor movies.
The Gazebo Series kicks off this Friday, June 8, and will run every Friday evening through July 14. Musical guests and classic movies include:
- June 8: Kim Massie, His Girl Friday
- June 15: Auset Music Project, The Little Princess
- June 22: Rosewood, A Farewell to Arms
- June 29: Jake’s Leg, Little Shop of Horrors
- July 6: Dizzy Atmosphere, Charade
- July 13: Cree Rider Family Band, Teenagers from Outer Space
The music starts at 7:00 pm and the films at 9:00 pm, so come for one and stay for both because it’s a Friday night in the summer and there’s a gazebo-full of free entertainment courtesy of Kräftig and other local vendors. Oh, and since we’ll be there, we can pretty much guarantee that even more fun is in store.
It’s time for you to do summer right with Kräftig, concerts, classic movies, and a gazebo. Pack up your fam in the minivan and join us at the Old Orchard Gazebo Park for some unforgettable summer nights in Webster Groves!
